Rosemarie Medina, a beloved member of the Oxnard community, recently passed away after a brief but intense battle with pancreatic cancer. Her health declined rapidly in the past couple of weeks, catching her family and friends off guard, as they had hoped for more time with her.
In response to this sudden loss, Mia Fuentes and Shannon Wisma have organized a fundraiser to cover the funeral and memorial expenses for Rosemarie. The campaign, "Services For Our Mom Rosemarie Medina," has raised $4,155 of its $25,000 goal through 19 donations. The community has shown immense support, with Isabel Camacho contributing $1,000 as the top donation, while Brittany Valdivia made the first donation of $100, followed by Angelina Lopez’s recent donation of $100.
Rudie Barretto Garcia shared his plea on Facebook, urging for donations and prayers, "Please my family is in need of help with any donation or just a share please we know it can be hard to lay a family member to rest anything will help if not a donation please keep my family in prayers at this time of need I love u my family."
Similarly, Yvette Osuna expressed her condolences and support, saying, "Prayers in the name of Jesus."
This collective effort reflects the deep bond within the community as they come together to support Rosemarie’s family in their time of need. The fundraiser emphasizes the importance of communal solidarity and the overwhelming impact of even small acts of kindness during such difficult times.
