The late Ronald Lockwood from Picton passed away on June 28, 2024. He suffered a massive stroke on June 27, which led to severe paralysis and loss of speech. Despite being alive when his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Darryl Woodcock arrived at Picton hospital, Ronald’s condition deteriorated rapidly. The medical team could only provide palliative care to keep him comfortable.
Ronald’s passing is particularly poignant for his family. He joined his late wife Betty in heaven, who had passed away exactly 21 years earlier, just before Lisa and Darryl’s wedding. Lisa, deeply devoted to her father, often visited him in long-term care and brought him home for visits. She now mourns the loss of both parents, finding some solace in believing she has two guardian angels watching over her.
Darryl Woodcock has organized a fundraiser to help cover Ronald’s unexpected funeral and headstone expenses. The family has set a goal of $5,000 and has currently raised $75 from four donations. The family expresses their deep gratitude for any support during this difficult time.
