Roman Vidal’s sudden passing in Puerto Rico has left many heartbroken. Known for his vibrant spirit and compassionate nature, Roman was in Puerto Rico building a new life and career when he died from unknown causes. His friends and family are now striving to bring him back home to Louisiana for a final goodbye.
Joseph Myers, a close friend of Roman, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign titled "Help Bring Roman Home for Final Goodbye" with the aim of raising $15,000. So far, the fundraiser has managed to gather $725 through eight donations. Jessica Vicari expressed her deep sorrow on Facebook, noting, "I have no words. Leave it to Roman Vidal to render me speechless. Please give if you can. I’m not the only person who needs to say goodbye."
Roman was cherished for his willingness to help anyone in need, often going out of his way to offer support, whether through kind words or tangible help. His unique work ethic and the profound connections he made with people were highlighted as irreplaceable by Joseph Myers. Myers reflects on Roman’s life with admiration, "He would give you the shirt off his back and the last bit of money to his name for someone that needed it more than he did."
The fundraiser continues to receive support, with contributions from individuals like Rodney Guidry, Taleatha Mommsen, Alexander Dimitry, and Kathryn Crider, among others. Each donation brings Roman’s family and friends closer to providing him with a memorial service where all who loved him can gather to share their grief and memories.
