The late Robert Lewis Robles-Mejia, from Cohoes, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 10th, 2024. His death has left his family and friends in deep mourning and dealing with significant financial burdens.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Boice (Dorrie), his parents Victoria and Ignacio Robles, his siblings Angel, Francis, and Johanna Robles, and his beloved nieces and nephews Victoria, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Mia Robles, Mateo and Emilia Guillen, and Joseph Boice.
To support Robert’s wife and family with the funeral expenses, a fundraiser was created by Kristen Mitidieri. The goal of this campaign is to raise $15,000, of which $1,885 has been raised so far through ten donations. The donations will be used to cover hospital and ambulance bills, legal fees for the estate, and funeral home and burial expenses.
Kristen Starling shared her thoughts on Facebook, saying, "Please share this fundraiser for my dear friend Dorothy after the loss of her husband Robert. It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of Robert Lewis Robles-Mejia on Friday, May 10th, 2024."
The community is rallying to support Robert’s family during this difficult time. Kristen Mitidieri expressed gratitude for any support provided, emphasizing the importance of coming together in times of sadness and loss. She wrote, "It is in times of sadness and loss when people can come together to help one another make it through. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Rob’s wife & family in your thoughts and prayers."
A Celebration of Life for Robert is tentatively scheduled for June 22nd, with details to be posted on Dorothy Boice’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The family appreciates the loving kindness and generosity of those who have already donated and those who plan to contribute in the future.
This fundraiser reflects the communal effort to ease the financial stress on Robert’s family while honoring his memory and supporting his loved ones through this challenging period.
