The late Robb Zander from Carol Stream, Illinois, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on the morning of June 26th at the age of 52. His unexpected death has left his family and community in deep shock and sorrow.
Robb was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He was the sole provider for his family, and his passing has left his wife, Kathy Zander, in a difficult situation. A fundraiser has been established by Kim Novak to support Kathy during this challenging time. The goal is to raise $15,000, and so far, $1,000 has been donated by the Hope Movement Coalition.
Robb and Kathy were the passionate founders of "My Child’s Life Matters," a nonprofit organization created after the devastating fentanyl poisoning of their son, John. They organized the annual Ride For John fundraiser, which is an event that brought together their "Biker" community, local officials, friends, families, government agencies, grieving parents, and recovery advocates. This year’s event, scheduled for July 20th, 2024, will be the 8th annual ride and holds significant importance as a way to honor Robb’s memory.
Michael Wood, a friend of Robb, shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, expressing his gratitude for Robb’s impact on his life. "This one cuts to the core. If you have heard my story, then you probably remember the part when I was fresh out of jail and a man taught me not only how to work, but also showed me how to live as a follower of Jesus. Well… this is that man. Robb is seriously one of a kind. A man’s man who spoke truth. A protector of his people. A guy who will never be forgotten as long as I live."
The community is urged to come together to support Kathy and ensure the continued success of their noble cause. Donations and support for Kathy can be made through the GoFundMe page organized by Kim Novak.
