The late Rhonda Rae Riley was from Medora, Indiana. The community and her family are mourning her loss and are currently trying to raise funds for her celebration of life and other related expenses. Kassie Helton, a close friend, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support this cause, highlighting the profound impact Rhonda had on those around her.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Patrick Green expressed the collective grief and the need for support, stating, "Anything helps! Thanks in advance. Ronda was such a sweet soul and is gonna be missed by so many people."
The GoFundMe campaign, titled "Join Us in Remembering Rhonda Rae Riley," was created yesterday. So far, $480 has been raised out of the $2,500 goal through eight donations. Contributions from the community include $50 from Roxi Sams, $100 from Jason Kidwell, $100 from Savannah Jo, $20 from Tammi Leonard, and $100 from Krystal Christ, among others.
Kassie Helton emphasizes the importance of coming together during this difficult time: "In times of tragedy, it’s important for us to come together and support one another. Rhonda Rae Riley was a beloved member of our community, a great friend, family member, and loving human. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of her celebration of life and other expenses. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Please consider giving what you can."
The campaign also reflects Rhonda’s faith, quoting Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This sentiment resonates with the community’s effort to honor Rhonda’s memory and support her family during this challenging time.
As the fundraiser progresses, it is evident that Rhonda’s impact on her community was profound, and the collective effort to support her family underscores the strength and unity in Medora during times of sorrow.
