Rhonda Back, New Lebanon, Ohio – The community is mourning the loss of Rhonda Back, who passed away on July 3rd at 6:30 pm. Her sisters, Donna Back and Susie Back Metcalf, are reaching out for support to cover Rhonda’s funeral expenses, as she did not have life insurance. They aim to give her a proper burial beside her children, with the funeral planned at Preble Memorial Gardens.
Donna Back shared on Facebook, "Rhonda passed away July 3rd @ 6:30 pm. My sister and I are trying to get donations so that Rhonda can be buried by her children. Anyone who can donate please contact myself or Susie Back Metcalf. Thank you all for your love and prayers. I have Venmo and PayPal. Rhonda’s funeral will be at Preble Memorial Gardens if you would like you can make a donation there also. Thank you everyone."
Friends and family have expressed their condolences and support on social media. David Jenkins commented, "Sorry for your loss, my friend." Robin Huffer Brummett added, "I’m so sorry for your loss! Sending all my heartfelt condolences, prayers, and love to Doug, family, and friends!!"
The fundraiser, organized by Susan Metcalf, has so far raised $400 out of the $11,000 goal, with contributions from Nancy Stover ($300), Susan Metcalf ($50), and Donna Back ($50). Rhonda’s youngest son, Sammy, deeply wishes for his mother to have a proper funeral. The family appreciates any support to help them in this difficult time.
As Donna Back mentioned, "We wanted to see if you could pick Rhonda something to wear and help us with that. You knew her likes so well. Thank you, Annette. I pray when my time comes I have a best friend like you by my side…"
This heartfelt effort underscores the community’s need for collective support in times of personal loss, highlighting the financial and emotional challenges families face when insurance fails to provide the necessary coverage.
