The late Renato Chaves was from Hyannis. It is with immense sorrow that we share the tragic news of his passing. In the early hours of June 27, 2024, Renato was cruelly taken from us in an unimaginable way, the victim of a violent and unjust act. This devastating news has left his family and friends in profound grief.
Renato was an incredible person, always with a smile on his face and willing to help anyone in need. He was a tireless worker with a huge heart, making a significant difference in the lives of everyone around him. His departure leaves an immense void in our lives and in our hearts.
In this moment of pain and mourning, Marcelo Ferreira has organized a fundraiser to honor Renato’s memory by providing him with a dignified rest alongside his family in Brazil. However, the costs for transporting the body are high, and the family, already devastated by the loss, cannot afford all the expenses.
The fundraiser aims to raise $15,000, and so far, $850 has been raised through five donations. Izabela Braga, Izadora Braga, Gesiel Moreira Dos Santos, Denise Machado, and Roberto Leal have contributed, showing their support during this very difficult time.
Marcelo Ferreira and Renato’s family are asking for the help of anyone who can contribute, with any amount, to raise the necessary funds to send Renato’s body back home. Every contribution, no matter how small, will be immensely appreciated and will make a significant difference.
This collective effort to support Renato’s family in their time of need is a testament to the love and respect he garnered during his life. The community is coming together to bid a final farewell to their friend and support his family through this heartbreaking ordeal.
