The late Raul Villalobos was a devoted husband, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend from Eureka. The community and his family are struggling to come to terms with his sudden passing. Raul’s wife, Stephanie Villalobos, now faces the daunting challenge of navigating life without her partner amidst funeral, medical, and living expenses.
Raul Villalobos was known for his kindness and his ability to light up a room with his smile. He had a remarkable talent for motors, welding, and building motorcycles. Raul was also an artist, musician, and skater. His garage was a haven where he worked on his chopper, fixed trucks, and created gifts for Stephanie.
Raul and Stephanie had recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Their love story began in 2021 when they met online and bonded over their shared passion for Toyota trucks. They enjoyed numerous road trips, off-roading adventures, and watching trains together. Raul often surprised Stephanie with beautiful drawings, love notes, and metal roses he welded for her after her long shifts as a paramedic.
To support Stephanie during this difficult time, Abigail Almeida and Erica Blockman have organized a fundraiser. They aim to raise $15,000 to help Stephanie with the financial burdens she faces. So far, they have raised $4,000 through six donations, with significant contributions from the community, including $2,600 from an anonymous donor and $300 from Jett Peterson.
The fundraiser emphasizes the importance of community support in helping Stephanie adjust to her new reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, is a step towards easing her financial strain and allowing her to focus on healing. The community is encouraged to donate or share the campaign to provide Stephanie with the support she needs during this vulnerable and disorienting period.
