The late Priscilla Marie Vann, originally from Frankfurt, Germany, has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her passing on the evening of June 22nd, 2024, has been deeply felt by her family and friends.
Priscilla was a remarkable woman, a chef, and a talented poet. She was an incredible mother and mother figure who endured and overcame immense challenges, including beating cancer three times. Her resilience and unwavering support for others, even at the expense of her own well-being, were hallmarks of her character.
Terrance Brown, her partner, shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, expressing his sorrow and admiration for Priscilla. He wrote, "I appreciate all the love and prayers. Y’all understand that I pray no one on earth feels what I have felt these past few days. Priscilla, the love of my life, has passed away, and she meant a lot to me. I hate that I even have to write such a post. She is at peace, and I am still suffering. You were my best friend. I wish I had it to where you didn’t have to work. You taught me so many things in such a short time, and the time and laughs we had with each other I will cherish for the rest of my life."
Terrance’s words reflect the depth of their bond and the significant impact Priscilla had on his life. He continued, "You made me patient, and I now understand why you never told me. You never wanted me to treat you differently, but I didn’t know you beat cancer three times, baby. I just knew a strong, brilliant woman who took care of everyone even when it was neglecting herself."
Priscilla’s community has rallied around Terrance and her family during this difficult time. Tara Reynolds Teigue expressed her condolences, saying, "I’m so sorry for your loss. Priscilla has always been such a wonderful person. She will definitely be missed." Isabel Andaluz added, "Wow, I am so sorry for your loss. Such a beautiful young lady. You are in my prayers."
A GoFundMe campaign organized by Torrey Sandlin and Terrance Brown has been set up to help cover the funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Laying Priscilla to Rest," has a goal of $25,000 and has raised $735 so far. Contributions from friends and family, like Tara Teigue who donated $100, highlight the community’s support.
Torrey Sandlin, Priscilla’s daughter, wrote on the fundraiser page, "I am writing to you today with a heavy heart. As you know, my mother, Priscilla Marie Vann, passed away the evening of June 22nd, 2024, and we are now planning her funeral. She was a loving and kind woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her absence leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled."
Priscilla’s life and legacy continue to inspire and resonate with those who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and love will be remembered and cherished by many.
