The late Preston Andrew Deerhake passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22nd. His mother, Jade Deerhake, is devastated by the loss of her only son. In an effort to help Jade during this incredibly difficult time, Pepper Childress has organized a fundraiser.
The community has come together to support Jade, with Pepper Childress sharing the following on Facebook: "On June 22nd, Jade Deerhake lost her son, Preston Andrew Deerhake. We are raising funds to help Jade cope with this tragedy. Please share the link below and thank you for your kindness."
As of today, the fundraiser has raised $485 out of a $10,000 goal from seven donations. Contributors include Kris Henderson, who donated $100, and April Caim, who donated $30. Each donation, no matter the amount, is a step toward helping Jade take the time she needs to grieve without the immediate pressure to return to work.
The fundraiser page emphasizes the need for these donations, explaining that while some funeral expenses are covered, additional funds are necessary for Jade’s personal expenses. This support will allow her to properly grieve the unimaginable loss of her son, Preston. Any remaining funds will be used to establish a memorial in his name.
In a touching show of solidarity, members of the community have expressed their condolences and shared their support. Kristen Marie and Kendra Schroer are among those who have publicly shown their support for Jade during this heart-wrenching time.
The outpouring of support highlights the importance of community in times of tragedy, offering Jade some solace as she navigates this painful journey.
