The late Paul D. Scolpini of Peekskill, New York, unexpectedly passed away on June 9, 2024. Paul, a beloved husband, father, and community member, died from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm, a condition he likely had unknowingly for over two decades. His sudden death has left his family in a challenging situation, both emotionally and financially.
Paul was the primary provider for his family, working as a truck driver for AAA Carting. Sadly, he did not have a life insurance policy, leaving his wife, Marsha Miller Scolpini, to navigate the costs of his memorial service and ongoing household expenses. In response to this unexpected tragedy, Paul’s niece, Tiffany Jentzsch, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate the financial burden on Marsha and their family.
Tiffany shared on Facebook, "Many know my uncle Paul Scolpini suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Cause of death has been determined to be a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm, something he most likely had for at least 20+ years without knowing. Sadly and unfortunately, he did not have a life insurance policy. Uncle Pauly was the main provider for his family. Leaving my aunt Marsha Miller Scolpini to figure out how to not only pay for his memorial service but also to help pay the home expenses."
The fundraiser aims to raise $5,000, with donations going towards Paul’s cremation, memorial service, and burial. Any remaining funds will assist Marsha with living expenses. So far, the campaign has raised $125 from a single donation by Steven D. Thompson.
Paul is survived by his wife, Marsha; three daughters, Stephanie, Jessica (Brian), and Katrina; two sons, Paul Jr. and Christopher; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Savannah, Brian, Sarah, Mackenzy, Garrett, and Trenton. He also leaves behind two sisters, Bonny (Bobby) and Tina (Mark); four brothers, Frank, Timothy (Alice), Mike (Tina), and Thomas; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Curry & Giordano Funeral Home, Inc. in Peekskill, New York. The family deeply appreciates any contributions or shares of the fundraiser to support them during this difficult time.
