Patricia Flores, a beloved member of the El Cajon community, has sadly passed away. Her sister, Sylvia Flores-Thomas, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressing the deep sorrow felt by their family and friends. Patricia is survived by her brother, sister-in-law, two nieces, two nephews, seven grand nieces and nephews, and numerous friends who are all mourning her loss.
In a touching Facebook post, Sylvia wrote, "It is with great sadness that I let my friends know that my sister Patricia Flores has passed away. She will be missed by me, our brother, and sister-in-law, her 2 nieces and 2 nephews, as well as 7 grand nieces and nephews and many friends. Please pray for our family."
To help cover the funeral expenses, Sylvia has organized a GoFundMe campaign. "My name is Sylvia Thomas, as many of you may know by now, my sister Patricia has passed suddenly. We are trying to raise funds to cover her funeral expenses and anything else associated with her passing. She did not have insurance, so any help is greatly appreciated at this time," Sylvia explained on the fundraiser page. The goal is to raise $3,500, with $120 already donated by three contributors.
The community has shown an outpouring of support on social media. Joy Farrelly commented, "I’m so sorry for all that love her. Have faith that you will meet again." Abraham Muheize added, "So sorry, my condolences," while Cindy Watson shared, "Oh no! I am so sorry .. may Patricia rest peacefully."
Friends and family continue to rally around Sylvia, offering their condolences and prayers. Barbara Mannella expressed, "I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family," and Heather Borer-Cobb noted, "I’m so sorry for your loss! I know your wonderful family made her life so special!"
Despite the sadness, Sylvia’s post on GoFundMe highlights the enduring love and support within their community. The campaign aims to alleviate the financial burden on the family during this difficult time. Sylvia concluded her appeal with gratitude, saying, "Thank you in advance for your help."
The family will provide service information once it is scheduled. In the meantime, they appreciate any support, whether financial or emotional, as they navigate this challenging period.
