The late Pam Angeledes from LaPorte, Indiana, has left her family and community in mourning. Pam had been battling illness for the past year, and her condition recently worsened, leading her family to make the heartbreaking decision to place her on hospice care.
Dana Angeledes, Pam’s daughter, shared an emotional update on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the support received so far but also highlighting the ongoing need for assistance. "Momma had a great morning, very alert! Sadly it did involve being put on oxygen as she was having difficulty breathing," Dana wrote. "She is on hospice for those who were not aware and is now comfort measures only. We love you, momma, so much! You’re so strong and brave, I hope you know that!"
Dana and her sister have taken on the challenging task of planning their mother’s funeral. Despite their best efforts, they are still short on funds, especially since Pam did not have life insurance. To help cover the remaining expenses, Dana organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Join Hands for Pam’s Final Journey." The campaign has set a goal of $2,000, with $100 raised so far from a single donation by Kayla Ritenour.
Pam was well-loved in her community, particularly by the customers at her most recent job at JJ’s Liquor Store. Dana appealed to the community for further support, stating, "We’re not asking for a ton, but if each of you could even donate $1, it would go such a long way and it would help her and us tremendously!"
Friends and acquaintances have also shared their memories and condolences on Facebook. Daniel Hensell commented, "Pam, you were always super cool to us! No matter what happens, you’ll always shine bright!!! GoPackGo!!!" Another friend, Kelly Barger, added, "Pam, please know that I always thought the world of you and I hope you know how much you mean to me. Love you!"
The community’s outpouring of love and support highlights Pam’s impact on those around her. Dana’s GoFundMe campaign continues to gather contributions, reflecting the collective effort to honor Pam’s memory and ease the financial burden on her grieving family.
