The late Oscar Smith was from Lakeside, California. The news of his passing on June 27th has left his family and community heartbroken. Oscar’s cousin, Alison Selena Orellana, expressed her grief on Facebook, saying, "My heart is so broken to hear you’re gone, Oscar Smith. My lovely handsome cousin gone. We all love and miss you so much!!! Rest in Peace. Fly High, my sweet Angel. Anything will help!"
In the wake of this tragedy, Gina Smith has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Support for the Smith Family." The fundraiser, created yesterday, aims to raise $7,000 to support the family during this difficult time. So far, $400 has been raised from eight donations. The donations, ranging from $50 contributions by anonymous donors to heartfelt support from friends and family, reflect the community’s desire to help Oscar’s loved ones.
Gina Smith, the organizer of the fundraiser, shared her deep sorrow: "I am at a loss for words. Words can’t even begin to describe how my heart feels. Oscar passed away on Thursday, June 27th. Baby Barron and I miss him immensely. Everything will forever be changed and I desperately wish he was still with us."
As the family copes with the loss, they have yet to set a date for Oscar’s memorial service. Gina has requested any donations that friends or family are willing to give to help celebrate Oscar’s life and the time they had together. She extends her gratitude to those who can contribute during this challenging period.
The community’s support underscores the collective grief and solidarity in the face of Oscar’s untimely death.
