The late Noel Deliz was from Chicago. The community and his family are grappling with the sudden loss and the financial burden of his burial, as he passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2024. Noel’s granddaughter, Yajaira Rolon, has taken the initiative to organize a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his funeral and burial.
Yajaira expressed the family’s heartbreak in her message on the fundraiser page: "Hello, I’m the granddaughter of my uncle Noel Deliz’s mother. He passed away unexpectedly on 6/20/24, leaving behind his family. We ask if you can greatly help us reach our goal so he can have a proper funeral and burial. We are so broken. We want to keep his memory alive. He was a happy man. I’m doing this GoFundMe on behalf of my grandmother. If you can help us, we would greatly appreciate it. God Bless you. Thank you."
The goal for the fundraiser is $14,000, and the family is reaching out to the community for support. Noel’s niece, Yari Rolon Casillas, also shared her thoughts on Facebook, saying, "If u can help us donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for ur support. I love u, tio."
The family hopes to honor Noel’s memory and give him the proper farewell he deserves. This fundraising effort reflects the deep love and respect they have for him and their determination to fulfill his final wishes despite their grief and financial challenges.
