The late Nicholas Zoda was from Vero Beach, Florida. The community and his family are devastated by his sudden passing over Memorial Day weekend. Nicholas, often called Nick, was a devoted father and a loving partner. He was the primary financial provider for his family, leaving behind his girlfriend Megan and their two young children, Emery (age 6) and Finn (age 2).
Nick’s sudden departure has placed a significant financial burden on Megan, who now faces the daunting challenge of raising their children without Nick’s support. Nick found his greatest happiness in spending time with his family, whether building sandcastles at the beach or enjoying days at the park. One of their favorite spots was Wakulla Springs outside Tallahassee, FL, where they often spent time together spotting fish in the springs or having picnics.
In response to this tragedy, James Zoda has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Support for Nicholas’ Family in Difficult Times" to help ease the financial strain on Megan and provide some stability for Emery and Finn. The fundraiser, created today, has raised $570 of its $5,000 goal from 8 donations so far. Contributors include Garrett Bishop ($100), Michele Key ($100), Russ Fustino ($50), Dolly Lower ($30), and Ginny Zoda ($50).
On Facebook, Lori Tefft Zoda shared, "We are heartbroken at the loss of our nephew Nick. If you are able to help us help his family in their time of need any donation is appreciated." This post highlights the community’s grief and the collective effort to support Nick’s family.
The fundraiser aims to support the family’s immediate needs, including housing, childcare, and education expenses for Emery and Finn. Every donation, regardless of size, is deeply appreciated. If financial contributions are not possible, sharing the campaign to reach a wider audience is encouraged.
In this time of immense sorrow, the community’s love, support, and kindness are invaluable in helping Megan, Emery, and Finn navigate this unimaginable loss and begin to heal.
