The late Neil Banman, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather from Seminole, Texas, unexpectedly passed away on June 8, 2024. The Banman family is now faced with the challenge of arranging his funeral and managing the associated costs.
Shayla Rempel, Neil’s daughter-in-law, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise $13,000 for his funeral expenses. Shayla mentioned in the fundraiser, "On June 8, 2024, we received the news that my father-in-law (Neil Banman) unexpectedly passed away. I am doing this fundraiser on behalf of my mother-in-law (Mary Banman) to try to raise money so we can pay for his funeral services. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, overall family member, and friend. He will be missed dearly."
Breanne St Clair Rempel, Neil’s daughter, also expressed her grief and the family’s needs on Facebook, saying, "Yesterday (June 8th) my family was hit with the news that my father-in-law unexpectedly passed away. I have created a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses. I also have CashApp, PayPal, and Venmo. If you find it in your heart to donate, that’s amazing! If you can’t, that’s totally fine as well. As a family, we are asking for prayers as we navigate this difficult time!!!! We are also asking to please share this GoFundMe/post as much as possible so we can raise these funds!!!"
The Facebook community has shown immense support, offering condolences and sharing the fundraising post. Breanne responded to well-wishers, thanking them for their prayers and support. She emphasized, "We’re asking anyone and everyone for prayers, donations, and to share my post if possible, but the main thing we are asking for is prayers."
Friends and family members have been actively reposting the GoFundMe link and offering their prayers. Comments such as "My deepest condolences," "Prayers to all," and "Sorry for your loss" have flooded Breanne’s Facebook post, highlighting the communal effort to support the Banman family during this tough time.
To contribute to the fundraiser, donations can be made through GoFundMe, CashApp ($ShaylaRempel1993), PayPal (@breannerempel1993), or Venmo (@shaylarempel). Shayla and the family appreciate any and all forms of support as they work through their grief and financial strain.
Neil Banman’s sudden death has left a significant void in his family’s life, but the outpouring of community support showcases the collective strength and compassion that can help them through this heartbreaking period.
