The late Navjot Kaur, who came to Canada two years ago for her studies, tragically passed away on May 25, 2024, following an attack. Navjot died on the spot and was later taken to Saskatoon City Hospital in Saskatchewan.
Her brother, Jashandeep Singh, has organized a fundraiser to raise $35,000 CAD to send Navjot’s body back to India so that her parents can see their daughter for the last time. Navjot’s family, including her two sisters back in India, are deeply affected by this loss and are struggling to manage the expenses.
Jashandeep has reached out to the community for support, explaining the financial difficulties their family is facing. He has expressed his gratitude to those who have donated and urged more people to contribute to help cover the costs of transporting Navjot’s body to India and arranging her funeral.
The fundraiser, titled “Sending Body to Back home (India),” reflects the family’s urgent need for assistance. Jashandeep’s heartfelt plea highlights the emotional and financial burden that the family is enduring in this difficult time.
