The late Nani Popoca, a beloved resident of Bartow, Florida, left behind a community in mourning and a family in need. Nani was a beautiful daughter, friend, sister, and an amazing mother to six children. Her sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew her.
To help ease the financial burden on her family, Esmeralda Popoca, Nani’s sister, has organized a GoFundMe campaign. The fundraiser aims to raise $10,000 to cover funeral expenses and support Nani’s children. As of now, $1,950 has been raised from 19 donations, with contributions ranging from $100 by Sonia Mercado to $400 by an anonymous donor. Brenda Garcia was the first to donate to the campaign.
Juanita Martinez shared on Facebook, "Nani Popoca was a beautiful daughter, friend, sister, and an amazing mother to six beautiful children. She was so bright, smart, and funny. She loved her kids and family so much. She was taken too soon." Juanita urged others to support the campaign, highlighting the importance of collective effort in times of crisis.
The community has rallied around the fundraiser, but there is still a long way to go to reach the goal. This effort reflects the deep love and respect Nani’s family and friends have for her and their determination to fulfill her wishes for her children.
