The late Mykhaylo Konchak, who resided in Warrington Township, Pennsylvania, has passed away on May 30, 2024, at the age of 82. His passing has left his family and community in mourning as they work to fulfill his final wish.
Two years ago, Mykhaylo arrived in the United States on a tourist visa, seeking refuge from the war in Ukraine. Despite his aspirations for a safer and better life, his immigration status prevented him from accessing insurance or substantial medical support. Mykhaylo had been battling cancer for 15 years, and his condition worsened following the loss of his brother two months ago.
Mykhaylo was a kind and spiritual man, whose faith and resilience saw him through cancer and the Covid-19 pandemic. His dream was to return to his homeland, Ukraine, and be buried alongside his wife. To honor this wish, his daughters, Oksana and Orysya Konchak, have organized a fundraiser to cover the costs of his cremation and the transfer of his ashes to Ukraine.
The family is seeking $15,000 to fulfill Mykhaylo’s final wish. They have reached out to friends, family, and compassionate strangers for support, expressing deep gratitude for any contributions during this difficult time.
