The late Muneeb Jalali, a 20-year-old young man full of ambition and hope, was discovered deceased in Springfield, Virginia, on Saturday. The circumstances of his death are currently under investigation. Muneeb was the sole provider for his family, and his sudden and untimely death has left his widow mother and 15-year-old sister in deep grief and financial uncertainty.
Muneeb and his family came to the United States eight years ago, seeking a safer and brighter future after the assassination of his father in Afghanistan in 2013. Despite facing numerous challenges, Muneeb remained resilient, working full-time while continuing his education. His mother, Marzia Popal, now works part-time at a daycare, struggling to support her family.
To help Muneeb’s family manage their immediate financial needs during this difficult period, M. Asrar Ghani has organized a fundraiser. So far, $847 has been raised out of a $20,000 goal, with contributions from 22 donors. The fundraiser aims to support Marzia and her daughter, covering funeral expenses and daily needs until they become self-sufficient.
The community is encouraged to donate and share the fundraiser to honor Muneeb’s legacy of resilience and hope. Your support will make a significant difference in their lives during this incredibly challenging time.
