The late Mrs. Udokwu, mother of Victor Udokwu, tragically passed away in Ireland. She had just arrived to visit her son, a staff nurse, on May 26, 2024. Only four days into her visit, on June 1, 2024, she collapsed in Victor’s kitchen and was rushed to the hospital after CPR and 19 shocks failed to revive her.
Despite the medical team’s best efforts, she was placed on life support. Due to hospital policies concerning cases of ceased brain function, life support was discontinued the following day, and she passed away on June 2, 2024.
Victor Udokwu now faces overwhelming medical expenses, which reached approximately €15,000 within 48 hours in the ICU. Additionally, the cost of repatriating Mrs. Udokwu’s body to Nigeria is estimated at around €16,000, bringing the total financial burden to between €31,000 and €35,000.
To help alleviate this strain, a fundraiser has been set up by Victor. The family appreciates any contributions during this difficult time. May Mrs. Udokwu’s soul rest in peace.
