The late Mike Harp was a dedicated Captain of the Salt Lake City Fire Department for twenty-seven years. Tragically, Mike passed away on Thursday, June 27th, leaving a profound void in the lives of his family and friends. Mike was a beloved father to his children, Austin and Ariel, instilling in them a love for adventure and the outdoors.
Mike’s sudden passing has left his family, particularly his children, facing immediate financial challenges. To support Austin and Ariel during this difficult time, Irena Edwards has organized a GoFundMe campaign, "Honoring Mike: Support for Austin and Ariel," aiming to raise $5,000. So far, the campaign has raised $1,100 from two donations, including a generous $1,000 from Jaime Bonfiglio and $100 from Natalee Tueller.
Mike’s friends and community have expressed their grief and support on social media. Peter Comer shared a heartfelt message: "Going to miss you, dude. You were a real friend. Glad we had that talk in Dallas a few months back. I’ll always remember what you said. Brothers! RIP my friend. #mikeharp." Heidi Lovelady and Tina Helmke Fein also offered their condolences to Peter.
As the community rallies to support Mike’s children, every donation helps to alleviate the financial strain they face and allows them to focus on healing and rebuilding their lives without their father. The campaign highlights the importance of collective support during times of profound loss and the lasting impact Mike had on those around him.
