The late Michael Stroup was a 20-year-old resident of Phelan, California. He tragically passed away in an accident on June 7th. The community, along with his family, is grappling with this unexpected loss, as they prepare for his burial and honor his memory.
A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Kellie King to support Michael’s grandparents, Tammy and Terry Stroup, with funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Support for Michael Stroup’s Funeral Costs," has raised $530 of its $12,000 goal with contributions from seven donors so far. Contributors include Madilyn Stroup, who donated $60, Ashley Eppard with $125, CJ Prince with $250, Will Waye with $35, and Alex Hixson with $10.
Ashley Nicole Eppard shared her grief on Facebook, stating, "Still cannot believe it. I cannot express enough how sorry I am. Michael was practically a brother to Maddie Stroup. Such a tragic loss. Please donate if you can and/or share."
The funds raised will help Tammy and Terry Stroup cover the funeral costs and allow the family to come together to remember and honor Michael. More details about the services will be provided soon as the family navigates this difficult time.
