On the evening of June 6th, 2024, Michael Gapper, aged 54, passed away peacefully at San Antonio Regional Hospital. Born on March 20, 1970, in Glendora, California, Michael was a beloved husband, father, coach, and friend. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart Jeanne Gapper, his son Mikey Gapper, and his daughter Molly Gapper. The Gapper family are devoted Christians who worship their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Michael was a Master Mason in Freemasonry, a Shriner Clown for many years, a Past Royal Patron for the Order of Amaranth, and a member of Eastern Star. He was also deeply involved in the lives of his children and other youth as a dedicated Chapter Dad for the George Washington Chapter Order of DeMolay International. Additionally, he was actively involved in the sports program at Hillside Community Church in Rancho Cucamonga, where he coached multiple softball teams and facilitated fellowship among men for the past 20 years.
Michael’s health began to decline after he was admitted to San Antonio Regional Hospital on May 21st, 2024, with an infection. During his hospital stay, his condition worsened significantly as he developed double pneumonia, a blood infection, sepsis, blood and toxins in his lungs, congestive heart failure, and ultimately suffered a massive stroke. Sadly, he was unable to recover from these severe health issues.
The Gapper family is now facing a period of great uncertainty. Jeanne, Michael’s wife, is on disability due to her autoimmune disease, NMO, and is unable to work. To help the family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been organized by Adrianna Espinoza with a goal of $10,000. The community is being asked to support the family through donations, prayers, or by sharing the fundraiser.
A celebration of Michael Gapper’s life will be held on June 30th, 2024. The Gapper family, known for their willingness to help others in need, is now hoping that the community can come together to support them in return.
