The late Mercedes Crudup-Moore, a vibrant 29-year-old from Baltimore, has tragically passed away due to complications of Type 1 Diabetes. Her family and friends are in deep mourning, struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of a beloved daughter and friend.
Mercedes’s mother, Latoya Crudup, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her funeral and memorial service. As of today, the campaign has raised $690 out of a $5,000 goal, with contributions from eight donors. Among the contributors are Alissa Brown, who donated $250, Monica Scott with $100, and several anonymous donors who have given generously.
Nache’ Pope, a close friend of Mercedes, expressed her sorrow and appealed to the community for support on Facebook: "Hello all, if you are able to, even if it’s just to share the post with helping the family of my best friend give her a proper send-off, if you knew Sadie you know she was one to give her last, so let’s return the favor."
Latoya Crudup’s message on the fundraising page reflects the family’s grief and gratitude: "Hello, my name is Latoya Crudup. This beautiful young lady is my daughter Mercedes Crudup-Moore. At 29 years old, she has unfortunately passed away from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. We are raising funds for her funeral/memorial service. The arrangements will be announced when we reach the halfway point for a down payment. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. My family and I thank each and every person who can and does contribute in advance. Respectfully, Latoya Crudup."
The community is rallying to support Mercedes’s family during this difficult time, showing the strength of collective compassion and the importance of coming together in times of need.
