Maul Gomez, a beloved resident of Menifee, California, passed away suddenly on June 29, 2024, at the age of 34. Maul had been battling a severe brain infection that led to multiple organ failure. Despite his efforts to recover, the infection caused sepsis, ultimately resulting in his untimely death.
Maul was cherished for his kindhearted and caring nature. He was particularly devoted to his nieces and nephews, leaving a significant void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family, devastated by this loss, is now facing the financial burden of funeral expenses.
Secilia Gonzalez, a family member, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 to cover the funeral costs. As of now, $320 has been raised through six donations. Secilia expressed her gratitude and need for support, stating, "Dear Family & Friends, we ask for your help in these times of despair to help us lay to rest our beloved Son, Brother, Cousin & family member Maul Gomez."
Lala Galeano, Maul’s sister, also shared her plea for assistance on Facebook, saying, "I would be grateful for any assistance in laying my brother to rest. Thank you."
The community has begun to respond, with donations from Cristina Arroyo, Rigoberto Gomez, Angel Vazquez, Yadira Martinez, and Daniel Alegria. Each contribution, regardless of the amount, is deeply appreciated by the grieving family. This collective effort underscores the community’s support in these difficult times, helping Maul’s family navigate their profound loss.
