The late Mattia Capriotti, a beloved member of the Porto d’Ascoli community, was lost in a tragic accident on June 28th. The news has left his friends and family devastated, and they are now coming together to honor his memory and support a cause dear to him.
In his honor, a fundraiser has been organized by Luciano Tuttobene, titled "Manteniamo vivo Il ricordo di MATTIA CAPRIOTTI." This initiative aims to raise funds to improve the highly accessible beach located in Via San Giacomo 23, dedicated to Mattia. The beach was inaugurated last year and serves as a reminder of the positive impact Mattia had on his community.
To keep Mattia’s memory alive, a football tournament will be held on June 29-30, 2024. This event is not only a way for the community to come together but also an opportunity for those who do not play football to support the cause through donations. The goal is to raise €2,000 to enhance the beach and continue holding events that celebrate Mattia’s legacy.
As of now, €105 has been raised from five donations. Contributors include Riccardo Leli, who donated €25, and Sol Azuaga, who contributed €10, along with three anonymous donors who gave a total of €70. The community’s response highlights the love and respect they have for Mattia and their commitment to keeping his memory alive.
Celine Speca shared her thoughts on Facebook, saying, "On June 28th, we lost our friend Mattia Capriotti in a tragic accident. To keep his memory alive, we will have a football tournament on 29-30/06/24 and have activated this fundraiser. The highly accessible beach dedicated to Nostro Mattia was inaugurated last year. We will continue to collect funds and hold events to make the place that reminds us of our friend better."
The fundraiser organized by Luciano Tuttobene is a testament to the impact Mattia had on those around him and the collective effort to honor his memory through community and generosity.
