The late Marcus Bolf tragically lost his life to the Colorado River on Monday night. The news of his untimely death has left his family, friends, and the community in shock and mourning. Marcus was known as the kindest man, a loving son, brother, partner to Stephanie, and a dear friend to many.
A fundraiser organized by Angel Stone is currently in progress to help cover the funeral and cremation expenses. The goal is to raise $10,000, and so far, $100 has been raised from two donations. Isla Miles and Carolyn Urzua were the first to contribute, with donations of $25 and $75, respectively.
The Tough Cookie Bakery, where Marcus worked, expressed their sorrow on Facebook: "We tragically lost one of our own to the Colorado River last night. Please consider donating to help with his end of life expenses so that his family, and the love of his life, may spend this time grieving and healing."
The community has shown an outpouring of support through heartfelt messages. Cindy Garcia, Maxine Davenport, Brad Nelson, Anne Herrington, and many others shared their condolences and prayers on social media. Brad Nelson mentioned, "Omg we saw the ambulance rushing down Waikakaaua! Followed by a truck and raft. I’m so sorry!" Aimee Lynne added, "Oh no, this is so sad. Sending my condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers."
Makayla White offered a flower arrangement for Marcus’s family, while Tonia Michelle Godbey and Theresa Jane sent their prayers and hugs. Katherine Pride and Jordan Walker also expressed their sorrow and sympathy for the loss.
This tragic incident has highlighted the importance of community support during times of grief. The fundraiser aims to alleviate the financial burden on Marcus’s family and Stephanie, allowing them to focus on healing during this devastating time. As Jennifer Olsen McEwan urged, "If you can’t donate please share."
Marcus’s sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and the community is coming together to honor his memory and support his loved ones.
