The late Luis Villegas, fondly known as "Black," was from Las Vegas, Nevada. His untimely death on June 28, 2024, in a tragic accident has left his family and friends in deep mourning. Luis, who would have turned 40 years old today, was a beloved father, son, and brother. His 15-year-old son, Jacob, was with him at the time of the accident and is currently undergoing multiple surgeries.
Luis’s sister, Noemi Villegas, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 to cover his funeral expenses. As of now, $175 has been raised from three generous donors: Crystal Ortega ($25), Saneida Alvarado ($100), and Frank Carey ($50). The family is deeply grateful for the support and prayers they have received during this difficult time.
Saneida Alvarado expressed her grief on Facebook, saying, "My tio Luis would have been 40 years old TODAY!! This GoFundMe is specifically for my tio Luis to assist with funeral expenses! THANK YOU to everyone who reached out and has donated or shared!"
Noemi Castro also shared her appreciation, "We appreciate your love and support. RIP BROTHER LUIS VILLEGAS."
This tragic loss has been a significant blow to the Villegas family, but the community’s support is providing some comfort. The family’s primary focus now is to ensure Luis gets a proper burial and to support Jacob through his recovery.
