Lorraine Perrault, 57, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Lorraine was the cherished wife of Matthew Brian Perrault for 27 years. Born on October 10, 1966, in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Wayland and Patricia (Webb) Stickney.
Lorraine was known for her commitment to health, enjoying walks, her love for clowns, and spending precious moments with her grandchildren. She embraced all the colors of the rainbow, never favoring one over another. Her family, which she deeply cherished, includes her children: Jeremy Mergendahl and his wife Brittany Beyus of Torrington, Luci Lamoureux and her husband Sean Dennis of Torrington, and Sylvia Perrault and her husband Mathew Dunn of Bristol. Lorraine was also the proud grandmother of seven: September Rayne Kovarovics, Chrysanthemum Violet Kovarovics, Tucker Atlas Dennis, Gavin Dennis, Dominic Stewart, Colton L. W. Mergendahl, and Isabella R. Mergendahl. Her brother, Wayne Stickney and his wife Christina of Goshen, also survive her. Lorraine was predeceased by four siblings.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted, from 5 – 7 PM. The burial will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted at 10 AM. An online guestbook is available for messages at montano-shea.com.
The sudden loss of Lorraine has deeply affected her family and friends. A fundraiser organized by Brittany Beyus aims to gather $8,000 for Lorraine’s burial, and as of now, $207 has been raised. Brittany writes, "We are looking for help to bury our loved one. If you can donate anything, it will be greatly appreciated. It was very unexpected, so we’re asking for any and little help that the community can offer. Our family would be greatly appreciated with anything you guys could help with."
