The late Logan G. Jackson, aged 15, tragically lost his life on June 26, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri. Logan was struck by a car, as mentioned by Kim Streeter Anderson on Facebook, which has left the community in deep sorrow. His passing has deeply affected those who knew him, including Beverly Schroeder, who expressed her heartache by saying, "My heart hurts…this one hit me hard."
Born on January 1, 2009, in St. Louis, Logan was not only an exceptional athlete in football and soccer but also a beacon of kindness and generosity. His dedication to helping others was evident in his frequent efforts to feed the homeless and support those in need. Logan’s infectious laughter and sense of humor created cherished memories for all who knew him.
Logan’s love for his family, especially his beloved grandmother Tammy, was unwavering. Whether spending quiet moments with his pets Leo, Luna, and Geo, or enjoying a peaceful day fishing, Logan’s nurturing spirit always shone brightly.
In honor of Logan’s beautiful life, Chapel Hill Mortuary has organized a fundraiser on behalf of Sharee Pruett to cover funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Support Logan’s Legacy: Funeral Fund," has raised $125 out of its $9,000 goal so far, with donations from Mary Ann Meyer, Chelsea Kemmis, and Dale Martin.
The community is encouraged to support this cause to alleviate the financial burden during this difficult time. Peggy Karleskint noted, "Such a sweet family," reflecting the communal support and love for Logan’s family. Any donation, no matter how small, will help honor Logan’s memory and legacy of love, laughter, and compassion.
