Lisa Fessenden, 45, of Lady Lake, was peacefully called to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 1, 2024, surrounded by loving family. Born on January 13, 1979, in San Diego, California, Lisa graduated from Leesburg High School in 1997 and earned a certification in Dental Assisting from Gulf Coast Community College.
Lisa spent most of her life in Florida, although she also lived in California and Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mark Fessenden, and her children, Zackary and Zoey Fessenden. Lisa’s father, Jean Cormier, and her siblings, Jeanette Lomberk and Kevin Cormier, are also among her surviving family, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her mother, Marie Cormier, and her sister, Rosemarie Cormier, predeceased her.
Known for her kindness and infectious smile, Lisa was a cherished member of the Church of the Lakes. Her deep faith and commitment to spreading the Lord’s message inspired many. Lisa’s dedication to her family was unparalleled; she was a devoted wife and mother, always there to support and comfort her children. She found immense pride in Zackary’s achievements and delighted in Zoey’s youthful exuberance.
Beyond her immediate family, Lisa was a second mother and confidant to many, known for her warm hospitality. Despite her love for socializing, she also treasured quiet moments with her family, enjoying peaceful movie nights.
In these moments of grief, the community finds comfort in their faith, remembering Lisa’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness. A fundraiser organized by Kayla Camps seeks to assist Mark and the family with cremation and Celebration of Life arrangements, and to support Zackary and Zoey with counseling as they cope with the loss of their mother.
