The late Liban Kasim was from England. The community and his family are struggling to prepare his burial and honor his memory, so this news is devastating. Liban’s older brother, Abdallah Kasim, is organizing a fundraiser to assist during these extremely testing and difficult times and to ensure Liban’s good deeds continue now that he has transitioned to the hereafter.
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return)," Abdallah begins in his heartfelt message. The family is deeply saddened by the loss of their beloved Liban, whose joyful character and unwavering optimism touched everyone he met. Liban was a remarkable individual, always putting others first and offering help whenever he could. His genuine kindness and steadfast dedication to supporting those around him were truly inspiring.
During this difficult time, Abdallah and his family ask Allah to grant patience and strength to endure this great loss. To honor Liban’s legacy of compassion and selflessness, they aim to raise £15,000 as part of sadaqah jariyah, ensuring his positive impact endures. So far, they have raised £1,035 from 24 donations. The most recent and top donation of £200 was given by Ameer Awad, while the first donation of £30 was made anonymously.
Liban’s generous and caring nature will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. This fundraising effort is not only a means to support the family during their grief but also a way to continue the good deeds that Liban was known for throughout his life.
