The late Lauren Lin Cole was from Orange, Texas. The community is deeply mourning her sudden passing at the age of 28. Known for her infectious laughter and sense of humor, Lauren’s unexpected death has left a profound void among her family and friends.
Lauren’s close ones have taken to social media to express their sorrow and remember her joyful spirit. Lucas Shay Moore posted, "Rest in peace Lauren Lin, everyone please keep the Cole family in y’all’s prayers! This is so heartbreaking." Tricia Bearden shared, "Rip she seemed like a really sweet person we were making plans to meet up one day."
The impact of her loss is evident through the heartfelt messages flooding Facebook. Jami Bass reminisced, "She was the absolute sweetest and so funny. We used to make bird calls back and forth when we worked overnight at Walmart together when we were in different departments." Ambre Guillot-Shaver echoed the disbelief felt by many, saying, "I’ve been crying all morning. I woke to a screenshot. This doesn’t feel real."
Lauren leaves behind her 4-month-old son, Drago, adding to the family’s grief. In the wake of this tragedy, her family is facing financial difficulties as she did not have insurance. Winters Cole, who is organizing a fundraiser, stated, "We are devastated to say that we have lost our dear, Lauren Lin Cole. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Please donate anything you can. She was so loved."
The fundraiser has so far raised $2,500 of its $7,000 target, with contributions from friends and community members. Claire Lorentz made the top donation of $200, followed by Tiffany Duque’s recent donation of $25, and Kaitlyn Patronella’s initial contribution of $50.
As the community rallies to support Lauren’s family, the outpouring of love and support underscores the lasting impact she had on those who knew her.
