The late Kohl Darcy Hill from Northern Territory passed away following a tragic car accident. On the 26th of May, Kohl, only 19 years old, was a passenger in a car involved in a head-on collision on Stuart Highway. Despite his valiant effort to survive, Kohl succumbed to his injuries. His untimely death has left his family and friends heartbroken.
Ebony Payne, a close family member, organized a GoFundMe campaign to help with Kohl’s funeral expenses and to support his mother and sister during this difficult time. So far, the fundraiser has raised $430 AUD of its $20,000 goal through four donations.
"Kohl was just too perfect for this world and he unfortunately grew his wings," Ebony wrote in the campaign description. She described Kohl as someone who could make anyone smile and laugh, with a personality that drew people to him. His passing has created a void in the lives of those who knew him.
"Kohl was the biggest ray of country sunshine you would have ever come across," Ebony continued. "His loss has left a huge hole in our family. The world has become a darker place for us all. Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces."
Friends and family have shared their grief and support on social media. Ebony-Rose Payne posted, "I love you so so much Kohl Darcy. Any help to my amazing family is appreciated beyond words. Please share." Shree Mcdonald commented, "Beautiful my niece xx."
Kohl’s kind, caring, and gentle nature is fondly remembered by all. He was known for his ability to make a joke even in the most inappropriate situations, never taking life too seriously. His love for country music and his vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
"We love and miss you so much it hurts. Forever young ❤️" Ebony concluded. The family is grateful for any support provided during this time of immense grief and loss.
