The late Kim Jones, a cherished member of the community, passed away on June 30th. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her loss and are now working to prepare her funeral. Kim was known for her selflessness, always putting others first and caring for those around her. She leaves behind six children, her partner, and five grandchildren who adored her as much as she adored them.
Emily Paul, Kim’s daughter, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the funeral costs and to secure the family’s future. The GoFundMe campaign, created today, has a goal of £800, and so far, £200 has been raised through 11 donations. Emily shared heartfelt words about her mother: "So as you all know, our mum passed away on the 30th of June. She fought so hard right to the very end. She was a true woman of the community, always caring for others and putting others first. She has left behind 6 children and her partner and 5 grandchildren who absolutely adored her, and she adored us. She would do anything to help us. My mum loved all the attention, so she’d love a GoFundMe to help go towards the future. Thanks in advance. Let’s give her the send-off she deserves. There’s no funeral date as of yet, but we will let you know when."
The community has already shown support through various donations. Emma Williams, the top donor, contributed £50, while the first donation of £10 came from Kyah Fenn. Leeann Heron, among others, also made a recent donation of £10. These contributions are a testament to the impact Kim had on those around her and the love they continue to show for her and her family.
Emily Paul’s efforts to organize this fundraiser highlight the family’s need for collective support during this difficult time. Kim’s legacy of caring for others is being honored as the community rallies to ensure she receives the respectful farewell she deserves.
