Kentrelle Rolle, a recent resident of Georgia originally from the Bahamas, tragically succumbed to her injuries yesterday morning after a severe accident. She was looking forward to her new life in Georgia when the unforeseen occurred—her vehicle was rear-ended by a drunk driver while on the way to a cabin in the mountains, leading to catastrophic outcomes.
The accident claimed the life of her friend instantly and left Kentrelle critically injured. She was transported by air from a hospital in Georgia to a Trauma ICU Hospital in Tennessee. Since the accident on April 22, 2024, Kentrelle faced a daunting battle for her life. Heavily sedated and induced into a paralytic state, she underwent multiple surgeries to address extensive injuries, including broken legs, wrists, pelvis, various neck and thigh injuries, and damage to her lungs, spleen, liver, abdomen, intestines, and brain. Her heart even stopped for two minutes, adding severe brain trauma to her dire condition.
A fundraiser organized by Delareese Bartlett-Jones has been crucial in attempting to cover Kentrelle’s overwhelming medical debts and now, the costs of her memorial and repatriation to the Bahamas. As of the last update, over $4,811 has been raised towards the $20,000 goal with contributions from 61 donors. Shandrice Woodside made the top donation of $500, highlighting the community’s support.
"Unfortunately, Kentrelle succumbed to her injuries yesterday morning and slipped away in death," shared Delareese in a recent update. The fundraiser continues as the family faces both the grief of their loss and the financial burdens of the medical and funeral expenses. Delareese Bartlett-Jones urges continued support: "We thank you all and appreciate each and every one of you for your donations thus far. We continue to ask for your support as we now face to take her back home to the Bahamas." The family remains thankful to all those who have supported them during this profoundly difficult time and continues to ask for prayers and aid.
