The late Kelly Miller, a vibrant young woman from Bradley County, tragically lost her life in a freak accident involving a go-cart on her own property. Her 1-year-old daughter, Allie, was also involved in the accident and suffered a serious hand injury, resulting in the loss of three fingers. Kelly did not have life insurance, leaving her family in immense financial strain as they struggle to cover the mounting medical bills, funeral expenses, and the day-to-day costs of caring for Kelly’s three young children: Cameron, Xander, and Allie.
Kelly’s generous spirit continues to touch lives even in her passing, as she was an organ donor who will help save as many as eight lives. This legacy of kindness and giving remains a beacon of hope amidst profound sorrow.
Richard Miller, Kelly’s father, has dedicated his life to serving others. With 15 years of service with Bradley County EMS, 4 years with the Rhea County Fire Department, and over 23 years with the Cleveland Fire Department in Cleveland, TN, Richard has always been there for his community. Now, in their darkest hour, the Miller family needs our help.
The Bradley County EMS has organized a fundraiser to assist the Miller family. So far, $395 of the $15,000 goal has been raised through donations from community members like William Weaver, who contributed $300, and others who have offered smaller yet significant amounts.
The funds raised will be given directly to Richard to help cover the costs of Kelly’s funeral, the extensive medical expenses from the accident, and the ongoing care for little Allie, who faces a long and challenging road to recovery. In the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, the last thing this grieving family should have to worry about is financial hardship.
Bradley County EMS wrote on Facebook, "Our hearts are heavy with the unexpected and tragic loss of Kelly Miller." This sentiment was echoed by many others in the community. Chrissy Viehweger, Andy Bowen, Torii Ann Kaylee Martin, Melissa Shawn Hedding, Hailee Hancock, and Lauren Hedding have all shared the fundraising campaign, highlighting the widespread support and solidarity.
We ask you to join us in lifting some of the burden off their shoulders so they can focus on healing and supporting one another through this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Please consider contributing to help Richard Miller and his family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others can also be a tremendous help.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
