Keith Raymond Press, a resident of Cape May, New Jersey, has passed away. Keith, who attended Wildwood Catholic Academy and originally hailed from Melbourne, Florida, left a lasting impact on those who knew him. Skyla Camacho, his girlfriend, is organizing a fundraiser titled "Funding Keith’s Celebration of Life" to cover his funeral expenses and provide some form of catering.
Skyla shared her heartfelt thoughts on the GoFundMe page, saying, "My boyfriend Keith Raymond Press has passed on into the light. He believed there was an afterlife filled with positive energy. When I met him, there was a spark between us and we never left each other’s side. With Keith, he always started a new day with a smile. He faced struggles but never let the negative control his emotions. During our time together, I learned so much and will cherish his presence."
The fundraiser aims to raise $1,000, and as of now, $920 has been raised from 24 donations. The community has shown significant support, with Noah Brown making the top donation of $300, followed by contributions from others like Amari Rodriguez, who made the first donation of $25, and Autumn Zeigler, who recently donated $10.
Skyla expressed her gratitude for the support, stating, "I thank everyone for your words of love and positivity. He is here with us." She also mentioned that the date for the service is yet to be decided, but it will be a remembrance and celebration of Keith’s life, requesting attendees to wear pink, his favorite color, instead of black.
Skyla is determined to ensure that Keith’s service is filled with love and honor, supporting his mother during this extremely painful time. She is uncertain if Medicaid will cover the costs, as Keith had not renewed his insurance. This uncertainty has added to the financial burden, making the fundraiser crucial to achieving their goal.
