Katy Saylor, a beloved member of the Schuylkill Township community, tragically lost her life on June 15, 2024. Her sudden passing has left her family and friends in profound grief, struggling to come to terms with this unexpected loss.
Katy’s friend, Jordan Evanik, shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, expressing deep sorrow: "I think I’ll miss you forever Katy Saylor. I hope you’re finding peace in your mother’s arms right now. One day we will meet again to have another sushi date up in the sky. To all of you who drive recklessly on the road- remember your actions can result in taking away someone’s loved ones, watch out for us on bikes." Brenda St Denis also offered condolences, saying, "Words cannot express the grief that comes with losing someone special. You are in my thoughts and prayers today Jordan."
Katy’s friend, Savanna Pulcher, has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to support Katy’s father, who has faced immense hardships this year. Savanna wrote, "I honestly am at a loss for words in writing this… it’s my third or fourth time now. So many of us have so many tears and heart break right now. Katy was one of the most caring and beautiful people you could have known. Her family is truly suffering this year."
Earlier this year, on March 8, 2024, Katy lost her mother, compounding the family’s grief. Savanna emphasized the need to help Katy’s father: "I want to help out Katy’s dad with all the hardships he is taking on this year. A wife and now daughter. I couldn’t even begin to imagine. Katy, hug your momma so tight! We will take care of popa bear!"
The fundraiser aims to raise $20,000 to assist Katy’s father with the financial burdens he now faces. The community is coming together to support the family in this time of need, demonstrating the strength and compassion that binds them.
Katy Saylor will be remembered for her caring nature and the love she shared with those around her. Her untimely passing is a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing our loved ones.
