Kamerin Welch, a beloved son, brother, nephew, and cousin, tragically passed away on June 26, 2024, at the tender age of 13. Kamerin was a vibrant young boy with his whole life ahead of him, leaving his family and community in deep mourning.
His family, struggling to cope with this sudden loss, is seeking financial support to cover the funeral expenses through a GoFundMe campaign organized by Jessie Ogden. The goal is to raise $20,000, but as of now, only $65 has been raised from three donations. This includes contributions from Areyana Hernanadrz, Natasha Granberry, and an anonymous donor.
Jessie Ogden expressed their heartfelt plea on the GoFundMe page, stating, "Our sweet, funny, loving son, brother, nephew, & cousin Kamerin passed suddenly. We are asking for donations to help with his funeral and all the expenses that come with this. Anything helps. Our boy was so loved and we appreciate all help given, even the prayers as we grieve."
Family member Jessi Limon also took to Facebook to share the family’s grief and request for support, saying, "I see all these posts and people getting donations from all over the place ‘people coming together’. If you can find it in your heart to please donate and help us give my nephew the services he deserves. He deserved so much more than he was given in this life. Our hearts are broken and our family will never be the same. We appreciate your prayers but I’m genuinely asking if you can please donate and help our family. I wouldn’t come asking if I had more options."
The community’s support is crucial during this difficult time as Kamerin’s family navigates the pain of losing a young life so suddenly. The fundraiser represents not only a financial necessity but also a collective effort to honor Kamerin’s memory and provide him with the dignified farewell he deserves.
