The late Justin Ray Stone, known affectionately as Eggie, passed away unexpectedly last night. The community and his family are now facing the heartbreaking task of arranging his funeral while grappling with financial difficulties. His niece, Kristin Freeland, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise the necessary $3,000 for his funeral expenses.
Kristin describes Justin as a beautiful person who could brighten anyone’s day. Despite his struggles with addiction, he was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. "He didn’t know a stranger and could turn any frown upside down," she shared on the fundraiser page. Justin had recently celebrated a week of sobriety before his untimely death, leaving behind four children who now mourn the loss of their father.
The funeral home has stated that they will not collect Justin’s body until the $3,000 fee is paid, adding to the family’s distress. As of now, only $50 has been raised, contributed by Candie Tuncay.
Patricia Mines expressed her support on Facebook, urging others to help the family: "Anything would help this family."
The fundraiser not only highlights the financial strain faced by grieving families but also serves as a testament to Justin’s enduring impact on those who knew him. Despite the challenges he faced, Justin’s memory lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and the community that cherished him.
