The late Justin Cullum, from Nevada, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 10th. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden departure and is now focusing on his cremation and memorial services. Justin’s sister, Destiny Cullum, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover these expenses, aiming to raise $3,000. As of now, $200 has been raised, with a donation from Kyleigh Williams.
Destiny expressed the family’s situation, stating, "As of Monday, June 10th, Justin is no longer with us. I started this to relieve a little bit of the stress during this already terrible time. Money is the last thing my family and I want to be focusing on right now, but unfortunately, it has to be."
The community has responded with heartfelt messages on Facebook. Toni Cullum Selman, Justin’s aunt, shared, "This is my nephew and it’s hard to believe he’s gone. RIP Justin!" Friends and family have been offering condolences and support. Rhonda Neal commented, "I’m sorry for your loss!!" and Ashley Houser added, "This is so sad! Prayers for the family and RIP lil cuz!"
Others, like Tressea Decker Wilson and Candy Wright Moore, also expressed their sorrow and sent prayers. Karen Price offered, "So sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family," while Gayla Brooks Ownbey shared, "I’m so sorry Toni."
The GoFundMe campaign, organized by Destiny Cullum, is a testament to the family’s need for financial support during this difficult time. Destiny noted, "Even if you can’t donate, please share, and keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. The memorial service will be open to the public and announced later this week on my Facebook if you would like to attend."
The community’s collective sympathy and the ongoing fundraiser highlight the importance of support during times of grief and the challenges families face when dealing with unexpected financial burdens.
