The late Josh Gang, from Hamlin, NY, passed away on July 1. He leaves behind two daughters, Alexa and Reign, and a baby granddaughter, Raelynn. His wife, Tanya, is now facing the challenge of honoring Josh’s memory and fulfilling his final wish to have his ashes spread in Maryland with his family.
A fundraiser organized by Deanna Richardson aims to support Tanya and her daughters in this difficult time. With a goal of $3,500, the campaign has so far raised $125 from five donations. Deanna expressed the community’s deep sadness and shared the importance of helping Tanya cover the expenses for transportation, accommodations, and other debts that have arisen.
Many in the community have been touched by Tanya’s kindness over the years. Deanna wrote, "For those of us who have the honor of knowing Tanya, I am willing to bet that she has positively impacted your life in some way, shape or form over the years. She is well known in our community for her heart of gold and her willingness to drop everything to support those in need."
Josh’s friends and family have shared their memories and support on social media. Josh Weston, who benefited from Chris Littrell’s support during his own time of loss, praised the Littrell family and encouraged others to contribute, saying, "If you can help this family, please do, I can promise you they would do the same for any one of us. If you are unable to financially, please pray for strength."
Katie Wetherell Nicholls and Debbie Saari also shared their condolences and highlighted Chris Littrell’s positive influence and support during dark times. The community’s rallying to support Tanya and her girls reflects their appreciation for her past kindness and their desire to provide closure and peace for Josh’s family.
As the fundraiser continues, the community’s collective effort showcases the power of support and togetherness during times of loss and grief.
