Johnny Gutierrez from Cornville, Arizona, tragically lost his life in a fatal car accident on June 26, 2024. The accident occurred around 2 AM on the I-17 near Rimrock, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnny’s sudden passing has left his fiancé, Jessica Wallen, and their three very young children devastated. In addition, he left behind two children from previous relationships and many grieving family members.
Jessica Wallen now faces the unimaginable task of burying Johnny and ensuring that her family does not become homeless. Johnny had expressed a wish to be buried in New Mexico with his mother and sister, who also died in a car accident many years ago. This has added to the financial burden on the family, as they need to cover the unexpected costs of the funeral and travel to New Mexico.
Jessica Mattox has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Jessica Wallen and her children during this difficult time. The campaign, created yesterday, has raised $1,765 out of a $10,000 goal from 33 donations. Contributors like Constance Pfeiffer, Brandi Alvarez, and Michaleigh DeAnda have shown their support, but much more is needed.
Jessy Jessica, a friend of Jessica Wallen, shared on Facebook, "Please help my friend Jessica Wallen in her time of need. Her significant other was involved in a fatal car accident and died on scene. She needs as much support as possible to ensure her family does not become homeless!"
Johnny Gutierrez was known as a loving father who deeply cared for his children, including a daughter with cystic fibrosis. He was always ready to play, swim, and watch movies with his family, and he was a genuine friend who would help anyone in need, even if he had nothing to give himself.
This fundraiser highlights the financial and emotional challenges that families face when dealing with unexpected tragedies. The community’s support is crucial to help Jessica and her children navigate this difficult period and honor Johnny’s final wishes.
