The late Joel Lee Painter was a resident of Mesa, Arizona. His family and friends are deeply mourning his unexpected passing and are now faced with the challenging task of honoring his final wishes.
Joel had battled Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for eight years. After undergoing numerous treatments, including surgery and chemo/radiation, he recently received the miraculous news that his cancer was gone, and the brain tumor he had fought had nearly vanished. This victory brought immense joy and relief to his loved ones.
Tragically, on Sunday, June 30th, Joel was found deceased in his apartment. The long and arduous battle had taken a significant toll on his body. Despite his triumphant fight against cancer, his body could not endure the aftermath.
Joel had always expressed a strong desire to be buried in a casket beside his parents in Santaquin, Utah. However, he left behind virtually no resources. To fulfill his final request, his family has organized a GoFundMe campaign led by Jennifer Painter. They are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover the costs of his burial.
The family is reaching out to the community for support, both financial and through prayers. Joel was a man who, despite his suffering, remained positive and willing to help others. Now, his family hopes to honor him with the dignity and respect he deserves, fulfilling his last wish to rest in peace beside his parents.
