Jeremiah "Jay" Strom, tragically took his own life on June 21, 2024, at the age of 40. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His father, Warren "Ken" Strom, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the funeral expenses.
Warren Strom created a GoFundMe campaign on June 23, 2024, with a goal of $1,100 to cover the direct cremation and burial costs for his son. As of now, $85 has been raised from three donations. Tiffany Denny contributed $10, while two anonymous donors gave $50 and $25 respectively.
In an update, Warren expressed gratitude for a $500 donation from friends in Arizona and another significant contribution from Christina with the Mercy program in Terre Haute, which covered the cremation expenses. Additional cash donations and support from the community, including Mayor Brandan Sakbun, have been invaluable. Special thanks were given to Travis, Jeremy, Chris, and Tiffany for their support.
Jeremiah will be laid to rest alongside his sister, who also passed away suddenly and tragically. The family is awaiting the release from the coroner and will announce the service dates when available.
Warren’s heartfelt plea on the GoFundMe page highlights the family’s struggle: "Anything helps, thank you for viewing this." The community’s support during this difficult time has been a beacon of hope for the Strom family.
