The late Jamie Mckie, known to his friends as "mismatched beatz," was from England. Jamie’s stepdaughter, Imogen Callaway, is organizing a fundraiser to support the family during these uncertain and unexpected times. Jamie fell ill early this year and was diagnosed with a Pancoast Tumour, a form of cancer. Due to the rapid progression of his illness, treatment options were limited, and the family is now focused on spending quality time together.
Imogen Callaway described Jamie as a loving life partner to her mother, Hannah, a devoted father, and a beloved figure to his stepchildren and grandchildren. Jamie was an enthusiastic music lover and production enthusiast, particularly fond of the Tidy Boys, and often attended music events with his wife.
Financial difficulties have compounded the family’s challenges during this emotional time. Imogen has set up a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of £1,000 to help alleviate the financial strain and ensure Jamie has a proper send-off. As of June 30, 2024, the fundraiser has raised £455 from 22 donations. Kelley Forester, the top donor, contributed £50, while the first donation was also £50 from an anonymous supporter.
Support for Jamie has also poured in from friends on Facebook. Jon Hemming urged people to read and support the fundraiser, while Stephen Ansell shared a heartfelt memory of Jamie, describing him as a "top geezer." Stephen’s sister, Sarah Ansell, also expressed her love and support.
Imogen’s plea for support reflects the family’s desire to create lasting, worry-free memories with Jamie in his final days and to provide financial relief for his wife, Hannah, as she copes with her grief.
